I’ve been at it again. I have another friend having a baby so I made her a blanket and toy!!! I call it my Bubble Guppy collection because of the Goldfish on the toy and the bubble stitches on the blanket! I used fun bright colors and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out.
The inspiration for my Bubble Guppy collection came from 2 places:
The blanket idea came from the Blackberry Salad stripped baby blanket. I used the bubble stitches and very similar colors.

I prefer more texture in my designs, so I did 7 rows of the bubble stitch just like in the blanket above, but then I did 2 rows of double crochet (DC) for the different colored stripes. I finished it off with a row of half double crochet (HDC) in each colors.
I made the teether from this pattern:

I didn’t deviate much…the Easter egg idea is BRILLIANT, although I filled mine with small wooden balls instead!
I used an H (5.00) hook and Baby Bee Yarn from Hobby Lobby in the following colors
- Hot Tots Sweet Delight – Purple
- Grape Jelly Sweet Delight – Light Purple
- Naked Sweet Delight – Lime
- Teal Sweet Delight – Teal
- Teal Too! Sweet Delight – Light Teal
- Baby Red Sweet Delight – Hot Pink
- Carrots Oh No Sweet Delight – Orange
