Hello Chirpers!

I’ve been making bunnies like crazy — but last night I decided to branch out….with a Tumbling Chick!!!!

TumblingChick

I used the base body pattern from the Tumbling Bunny — and then added wings and feet and pom pom to the head!  I’m thinking now an ELEPHANT would be really cute!!

Next time I’ll probably make the feet a little smaller — but in general they look really cute!

Here’s how I did the wings and the feet:

Wings:

Cast on 8 stitches. Make 2.

Row 1: (wrong side) Purl across (8)

Row 2: *Increase in the first stitch, knit the next stitch* repeat between the *’s across (or Inc in every other stitch) (12)

Row 3: Purl (12)

Row 4: Knit (12)

Row 5: Purl (12)

Row 6: Knit (12)

Row 7: Purl (12)

Row 8: *K2tog* repeat between the *’s across (6) Do not cast off- instead cut yarn leaving a 12 inch tail and thread tail with a yarn needle and thread tail through remaining 6 stitches. Using yarn, sew up side seams and arrange and sew wings to sides of body.

Feet:

Cast on 24 stitches. Make 2

Row 1: (wrong side) Purl across (24)

Row 2: K2tog, knit the next 8 stitches, K2tog, K2tog, Knit the next 8 stitches, K2tog (20)
