Heya chirpers!!!

I’ve been working fast and furiously on a couple of birthday  presents for this sweet 4 year old that I know.  She is having a Hello Kitty party this year.  I found this cute pattern on Ravelry –

The pattern is not very straight-forward to read, but if you are familiar with working on amigurmi, you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.  There are several typos and issues with the pattern, but read the comments where author has fixed most of them — but most of all pay attention and use your best judgement.

Here’s mine.

I think she turned out SUPER SUPER cute!  The dress is knitted – but if you don’t knit – you could probably crochet a dress just as easily.  I modified the dress a LOT — I did take the authors suggestion and made the dress a lot shorter and I added a cute white heart button for an embellishment!

Next, I made this cute little messenger bag for her as well.  I made up this pattern — It’s mostly HDC and DC in the round (I think 100 stitches in the round) — I worked it until it was the size I wanted.  Then I stopped working in the round for the flap (it’s about 48 or so stictches wide) and I worked the strap into the bag itself so it’s stable.

Then I used the KITTY FACE portion of this post —http://madebyk-tutorials.blogspot.com/2009/12/hello-kitty-granny-square-scarf-crochet.html

for the cute Kitty I put on the front.  I used a broken plastic pink hair clip of my daughters for the bow — which was the PERFECT size.

I also used matching white heart buttons on the front.  The bag will have snap closures and has CUTE Hello Kitty material lining it!

Hope you like my 2 LIttle Redbirds Kitty gear!!!!

OOXX
